Getting here (from the UK)
By plane: Most people fly to Nice and hire a car. The house is also accessible from Marseilles and Toulon airports although flights are less frequent. From Nice airport it's about a 90-minute drive - less if the traffic's clear. It's about the same from Marseilles and a little quicker from Toulon.
Private Jets: Can land at either Cannes (1 hour away) or La Mole (20 minutes away).
By Road: We allow typically two days and take it gently with a pleasant overnight stop, but it can be done in one day.
By Train: One option is to put the car on the train in Paris. This is overnight arriving in Toulon the following morning. When tolls, fuel and hotel are taken in to account it works out to be a similar price as driving all the way.
Alternatively the TGV from Paris takes about 5 hours to get to Marseilles where you can pick up a hire car. Or continue to Les Arcs (the closest station) and pick upa car there.
By Helicopter: Transfers by helicopter are available from Nice airport and take about 20 minutes to the heliport just outside Grimaud.
Note: A car is essential, even to pop to the local village for fresh baguettes and milk in the morning. Car hire is widely available at Nice and Toulon but we strongly advise to pre-book and do not leave it to chance.
