Outside La Retirado
The area immediately around the property is cultivated and well maintained by Stuart the gardener who visits once a week. There is a wide range of plants, shrubs and flowers in a variety of settings. The wider areas of the property are left in keeping with the natural habitat but maintained and cleared on a regular basis.
The main terrace runs along the width of the house facing the bay of St. Tropez. The views are truly spectacular and there is an 8 seater stone table in the middle of the terrace. It is the perfect place for supper on warm evenings. The BBQ is next to the kitchen and convenient for the terrace.
The area to the side of the main house is laid to lawn with a selection of local trees and shrubs.
The swimming pool area is surrounded by oleander and lavender plants so in the summer season the area is a burst of colour. The pool has timber decking all the way round, sun loungers and a large open sided gazebo pool house with a low wooden table and seating for 8, the perfect spot for the heat of the day and a relaxed lunch.
The sound system in the main house is relayed to speakers next to the lawn and the pool so you can enjoy your favourite music as you swim backwards and forwards.
There are a few sets of boule in the house, the ideal area to play the French national sport is on the gravel drive in front of the courtyard. Just a short few steps away you will see the tennis court if a more energetic time is on the agenda.
